Pouch and Pantry

Trying to stay on track while being busy!

This weekend has been so busy, I haven’t had time to eat the way I should really and had a hard time being able to stay on track. Yesterday we got a new couch and kitchen table. On the fly, we had to go rent a U-Haul to pick them up, move the old ones out of the house to the curb, and move the new ones in.

Then my husband and I had a date night planned. We went to a pottery wheel class (which was SO MUCH FUN), and then to hibachi for dinner after. That was the only real meal I ate yesterday. I definitely didn’t meet my protein or water goals, but with all the running around I didn’t have many options.

But today we are back on track. I spent the morning bringing my teenager to her friend’s house, had to head into work for a bit, and then did my meal planning. Tonight after I pick up my younger daughter, I will go to the food store and prepare all my lunches and snacks for the week. Stay tuned for a post about freezing my leftover food in silicone cube trays, it’s perfect for bariatric patients with lots of leftovers!

Not every day can be perfect, but it’s important for me to keep up good habits and get right back into the swing of things, especially when days don’t go as I had hoped with my eating. Going to start the week strong!

Stay on track
